TradeLens to be discontinued by Q1 2023

Dear Customer,
The TradeLens platform is being discontinued and will no longer function after 31st March 2023. During this period, a dedicated team will continue to support you in transitioning off the platform. If you have any questions or comments, please contact us here. At Maersk we continue to develop and innovate digital solutions to make logistics more seamless and efficient. We look forward to share this with you.

A smarter way to engage in trade

TradeLens is digitizing and transforming trade for the benefit of industry and authorities all along the global supply chain. It offers a more open, trusted, transparent and secure way to conduct trade through a business platform model underpinned by blockchain.

The TradeLens platform has been jointly developed by Maersk and IBM and is supported by major carriers covering more than 60% of global containerized trade.

Traditionally, critical shipping data has been held in paper and various digital formats across dozens of service providers along the supply chain, requiring complex, cumbersome, and costly peer-to-peer messaging. The result is inconsistent information across organizational boundaries, latency in obtaining shipment visibility, and blind spots that hinder the efficient flow of goods.

Digitise your cross-organizational business process

The collection and processing of timely data and the latest documentation requires businesses to spend time on manual checks and frequent follow-ups that results in errors, delays and high compliance costs.

These challenges have significant downstream repercussions. The inability to forecast and plan effectively, address supply chain disruptions in near real-time, and share trusted information across the supply chain leads to excessive safety stock inventory, high administrative costs, operational challenges, and ultimately poor customer service.

I have to say, in light of the situation going on now with COVID-19, TradeLens has been the best investment I have made to my Supply Chain. I have been through 9-11, the Northeast Blackout of 2003 and Hurricane Sandy, and now that we are going through COVID-19, it's very clear that a robust platform like TradeLens is nearly a necessity these days
